Brief note on the History of the town/city
Rewari is an ancient city and Known as Brass City. Municipal Council, Rewari office came into existence year 1885 in regime of British Empire. Total Area of Rewari city is 24.93 Sq. Km. As per census for year 2011, total population of city was 143021. Rewari city is divided into 31 wards, wherein 11 wards being represented by Women Councillors, 2 wards by Backward Class Councillors, 5 wards by Schedule caste Councillors, and 13 wards by General Category Councillors.
