HUIDB Constitution Notification

The Haryana Urban Infrastructure Development Board, Chandigarh was set up by the Government of Haryana on April, 2002 vide its notification dated 2.04.2002 to raise resources for provision and upgradation of Urban Infrastructure in all municipalities, upgradation and modernization of Town Planning and its implementation techniques, training facilities in Urban Management and Human resources Development of Municipalities and Urban Development Department by organizing Seminars, workshops and conferences on Urban Management, coordinating, planning and implementing the approved schemes/projects of the municipalities and for other such purposes. The constitution of the Board is as under:

• 1. Minister Urban Development Department - Chairman
• 2. Commissioner and Secretary to Govt. - Vice Chairman
• 3. Financial Commissioner & Principal Secretary - Member to Government Haryana, Finance Department
• 4. Commissioner & Secretary to Govt. - Member Haryana, Town & Country Planning Department.
• 5. Director, Urban Development, Haryana - Chief Administrator
• 6. Chief Administrator, Haryana Urban Development - Member Authority.
• 7. Chief Administrator, Housing Board Haryana - Member
• 8. Project Director, Swaran Jyanti Shahri Rozgar - Member Yozna and State Urban Development Society.
• 9. Engineer-in-chief, Public Works Department(P.H) - Member
• 10. Engineer-in-Chief, Public Works Department(B&R) - Member
• 11. Chief Town Planner, Urban Development Department - Member
• 12. Superintending Engineer, Urban Development - Member Department
• 13. Additional Director, Urban Development Department - Secretary

The Government of Haryana has constituted Haryana Urban Infrastructural Development Board (HUIDB) in April,2002 vide its notification dated 2.04.2002, with a view to raise resources for provision and up gradation of Urban Infrastructure in all municipalities.

The objective of the Board is given as under :-

• 1. Upgradation and modernization of Town Plannin0g and its implementation techniques
• 2. Training facilities in Urban Management and Human resources Development of Municipalities and Urban Development Department by organizing Seminars, workshops and conferences on Urban management
• 3. Coordinating, planning and implementing the approved schemes/projects of the municipalities

The Haryana Urban Infrastructural Development Board has also been declared nodal agency for implementation of Jawahar Lal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) and Urban Infrastructure Development Scheme for Small & Medium Towns (UIDSSMT).
